History

When the desire to establish a private hospital in Winterthur arose at the turn of the century, there were special reasons for this. At that time the Winterthur Cantonal Hospital only had two private rooms with two beds each at its disposal; it also lacked a women's clinic and a medical department. Well-known Winterthur personalities founded an initiative committee around 1900, which set to work in an unselfish and generous manner. On 5 November 1906, the hospital on the Lindberg was officially opened. More than 118 years later, the Privatklinik Lindberg belongs to the Swiss Medical Network Group.
