Welcome to Professor Loïc Lang-Lazdunski
Professor Loïc Lang-Lazdunski graduated from the Xavier Bichat Faculty of Medicine in Paris in 1991, then trained in general and cardiothoracic surgery. He obtained a doctorate in medicine in 1996 and a doctorate in experimental surgery in 2000. He worked for a year as a researcher at Harvard Medical School / Massachusetts General Hospital.
He spent most of his career in London as Professor of Thoracic Surgery at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, where he became an expert in the treatment of pleural mesothelioma. He left to head up the pleural mesothelioma programme at the Institut universitaire de cardiologie et pneumologie de Québec in 2020.
Professor Lang-Lazdunski is particularly interested in malignant pleural mesothelioma, lung cancer, thymic tumours and other malignant tumours of the thorax.
In 2023, he moved to Switzerland and joined the Clinique de Genolier to put his many skills in the field of general and thoracic surgery to good use.
